I had the pleasure of taking photos for the Pollard family last year as baby Jack’s newborn photographer. Since that session was in the winter, we photographed it inside their gorgeous home. Click here to see more from Jack’s newborn session.

I frequently photograph newborn photo sessions in client’s homes and it is just so much more relaxing for them not to have to travel. Click here to see more newborn sessions from me (most of which were photographed without the family leaving home).

This session was to commemorate little Jack turning 6 months old. They have always made baby sessions a family affair which I absolutely love!

Photographing the family here in the house they are building their family in makes these images super personal and special for them. Since it was warm out and our last session was inside the house, we decided to head outside for this one.

Isn't this the sweetest thing ever?! I am so glad we captured this adorable brother-sister moment. Isn’t this the sweetest thing ever?! I am so glad we captured this adorable brother-sister moment.

They had some gorgeous white hydrangeas growing out front so we stopped for a few shots in front of them.

I love Jack's adorable little monogrammed bubble romper. Such a southern baby thing!  I love Jack’s adorable little monogrammed bubble romper. Such a southern baby thing!

Then we moved to the backyard where we found some nice shady spots for family portraits. Baby Jack is happiest in the morning, so we held this session at 8am. I am happy to accommodate all sorts of schedules, and being a baby and child photographer I realize that sometimes that means early mornings! Let me know if you would like to book a morning session for your baby!

This is an awesome age, when babies can sit up, but not get into anything or run away from the photographer! Haha! I have had lots of practice with kids in front of the camera seeing as I have three boys of my own. Click here to read more fun facts about me.

I had the honor of shooting Kendra and Craig’s big baby announcement this past fall, and I was so excitied to shoot her maternity photos as well. I can’t wait to meet that sweet baby boy!

We snuck out of town while our house is being renovated and got to squeeze in a short session with my sister and nephew Levi. He is so cute and is growing so fast!

Sweet little Dalton is my newest nephew. He was the most relaxed newborn I’ve ever seen, he preferred to just let his legs stretch straight out and chill, and I don’t recall hearing him cry at all! We did this entire session at his home in Georgia – another peaceful in-home session. 🙂

As a mama who has had a few rough c-sections myself, I knew exactly what Elissa wanted when she said she wasn’t ready for photos of herself yet and that she really just wanted to capture Jackson by himself and with his sister while he was still this small.

We did this session in their apartment while everyone stayed comfy and away from germs, it was so relaxing!!!

This session was also featured on Little Bellows here, which I am super pumped about!

When Lauren contacted me about doing an in-home lifestyle newborn session for baby Jack I was super excited. Usually I have to convince people to let me shoot in their homes! Well, let me tell you, it is no wonder because their home is STUNNING and magazine-worthy AND her husband James built it!

I also loved that when I pulled up everyone in the family was ready and willing to have their photos taken. I love when newborn sessions include everyone!!! I can’t wait for this cutie’s 6 month session 🙂

Melissa and I go wayyy back. There are only a few people I have kept in touch with from my hometown for the long haul and she is one of them. We got together for a beach session for her and her family the last time I was down and I think their images turned out beautifully!

Nate is an old buddy of mine from high school who went to MTSU before we arrived here. He contacted me about taking some portraits for an upcoming trumpet demo CD he is making and of course I said “yes”!

It was super fun being creative and stepping outside of the box and getting creative for this shoot and I cant wait to hear how the album comes out!
