Miss Addie Kate was a sweet little bug for our session. She is one lucky girl, she has a wonderful big sister and awesome parents. I cant wait to watch her grow!

I had the honor of shooting Kendra and Craig’s big baby announcement this past fall, and I was so excitied to shoot her maternity photos as well. I can’t wait to meet that sweet baby boy!

Sweet little Dalton is my newest nephew. He was the most relaxed newborn I’ve ever seen, he preferred to just let his legs stretch straight out and chill, and I don’t recall hearing him cry at all! We did this entire session at his home in Georgia – another peaceful in-home session. 🙂

Nate is an old buddy of mine from high school who went to MTSU before we arrived here. He contacted me about taking some portraits for an upcoming trumpet demo CD he is making and of course I said “yes”!

It was super fun being creative and stepping outside of the box and getting creative for this shoot and I cant wait to hear how the album comes out!

Today is World Prematurity Day and in honor of that, I want to share a bit about my friend Mellisa and her adorable baby boy. Jack was born at 32 weeks and was two months old in these photos!

Their family went through so much to get Jack here. Mellisa has always been so brave and open about her struggles with infertility and that is something I admire so much about her! From Mellisa:

“Both of our children were conceived thru in-vitro fertilization. Our seven year old is biologically ours, but Jack Henry is an adopted embryo. We found out with further testing (while trying to add to our family) that scientifically speaking, our oldest shouldn’t be here. My eggs were never viable, and science can’t explain her. Although adoption was always something we were interested in, the desire to be pregnant was still so strong for me. So, we spoke with our doctors, and decided to adopt an embryo. Jack Henry was created from two amazing strangers, who selflessly donated so that we could grow our family. Although Jack is adopted, I was able to have the amazing experience of growing him inside my womb. What an incredible blessing. I felt him move, I heard his heart beat, and watched him grow.”

My baby boy turned one! We celebrated with a quadruple birthday party a few weeks after his day since my husband and two other boys all have birthdays too in a 2 week span of time (we will see how long I can get away with that!).

So since we didn’t have much planned for his ACTUAL birthday, I decided to commemorate with a cake smash session – on film of course!

Happy birthday sweet boy!!!

I had a great time shooting Nashville TN mini sessions this year! Here are a few snaps of two of my families from that day. I’d love to have you join me next time! If you are interested in a mini session email me at leannevicephotography@yahoo.com and like my Facebook Page for updates on when the next minis will be taking place!

Levi is a special little guy…not only because he is my nephie-poo! He is the chillest baby, the greatest eater, and best of all he has an incredible mama. Seriously though, I was kind of a wreck after I had babies. Every time I have become crippled with anxiety that lingers about all these terrible things I read about on the internet…but Nina is not a worrier and she is just 100% JOY with this new mom thing and she is ROCKING it!

I got to spend a few days with him and see him in the hospital and really do a good combined studio and lifestyle session which is a combo I really just adore.

Love you Levi and I’m so glad I got to spend some of your first days with you!

Torrie and Jim got married at the JSU alumni house in Jacksonville. They met right across the street during college 🙂 Everyone (including myself!) was SO SO SO happy that the rain that had been predicted all week never showed up. Congratulations you two and enjoy your honeymoon!

I am in love with how these turned out, the light was absolutely beautiful that evening. We did run into a snake at the very end though – eep! Could have done without that for sure.

…but it was TOTALLY worth it.

(and thank you again to my friend Christy Simmons for the beautiful floral crown!)
