I started my photography journey as a teenager when I took a class held by the lead photo editor of my local newspaper. I was the youngest person there by about 40 years, and out of that class I was chosen to shadow the photojournalist at work. Soon I was photographing the official headshots and set photos for our school musical. I took more classes when I went to college and the learning has never stopped!
I’m so glad you stopped by. I’m Leanne and I’m a Nashville, TN based photographer. My favorite things are good people, good light, and capturing photos that feel like they could have been taken in any decade.
I first picked up a camera in high school and I’ve been pretty much obsessed ever since. In the meantime, I’ve had three wild little boys and I have grown so much through photographing them. People usually describe my work as bright, clean, and vibrant. I have been featured by The Bump, Clickin Moms, Little Bellows, and more, and I like seeing an image that exists in my head come to life. I love what I do, and I like to think that reflects in my images. Photo sessions with me are pretty laid-back — I shoot a mix of candid images and some slightly directed ones, so you don’t have to worry about a thing.
What else is there to know about me?
• I am a mom of 3 boys + 1 husband, which = being severely outnumbered.
• I’m a Netflix documentary-aholic.
• I am extremely spontaneous and proud of how much I have preserved this part of my spirit considering I have three young kids.
• I really wish I liked olives but I just… don’t.
• I really love things that smell good and rosemary mint is one of my favorite scents.
• My current favorite US city is Asheville, North Carolina.
• I am more of a coffee person than a wine person, but I’m usually drinking it at night.
• Young adult fiction is my guilty pleasure.
• I grew up in Florida and as a consequence I am literally allergic to the cold. Thankfully, I now live in my first-ever house that has a fireplace!
